On the evening of May 28, 2012 I spoke to the Calgary Chapter of the SCBWI. The meeting was a great success with 30 people in attendance. The world of epublishing was discussed, highlighting the differences and similarities between traditional publishing and the new world of epublishing. I spoke for sixty minutes covering topics ranging from the huge rise in ebook sales to submissions, contracts, cover art and editing of an ebook. The presentation was very well recieved and a thirty minute questiona and answer period followed. It was a pleasure and an privilege to be invited to speak to the Calgary Chapter of the SCBWI. I did a drawing for four copies of Laurel's Miracle and had on hand  a variety of examples to help with marketing ebooks. Postcards with the cover art and a blank space where the author can sign and personalize it are a wonderful tool.
MuseItUp Publishing will also have a presence at the When Words Collide Literary Festival in Calgary this August, where Ms. Bell will be available for Blue Pencil sessions with authors. MuseItUp Publishing has also been invited to participate in pitch sessions at the Surrey International Writer's Conference in October.
